Why does my RYBELSUS® dose change?
- You take the 3 mg starting dose for 30 days to help your body get used to the medicine
- After your 3 mg pills are finished, you will be prescribed your 7 mg dose to help lower blood sugar
- After at least 30 days on the 7 mg dose, your healthcare professional may prescribe the 14 mg dose for greater blood sugar control
Common side effects of RYBELSUS®
There are possible side effects when taking RYBELSUS®. Always talk to your healthcare professional right away about any side effect that bothers you or doesn’t go away.
The most common side effects of RYBELSUS® may include:
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are most common when first starting RYBELSUS® and when your dose increases.a
aIn studies, gastrointestinal side effects were more common in people taking RYBELSUS® than in people taking placebo, and people taking RYBELSUS® were more likely to stop treatment because of these side effects. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may cause a loss of fluids (dehydration), which could cause existing kidney problems to get worse (including kidney failure).
